Local Emergency Locksmith was founded by Michael Robertson in December 2008, right as the financial crisis hit Dallas. Starting with a single van and years of experience as a certified locksmith, Michael saw an opportunity to build something different—a locksmith company that prioritized honesty and transparency in an industry often plagued by price gouging and hidden fees.
"I started this business because I was tired of seeing customers get taken advantage of during emergencies," says Michael. "When someone is locked out at 2 AM, they're vulnerable. My mission was simple: provide professional, 24/7 service at fair prices, and treat every customer the way I'd want my own family treated."
From responding to late-night lockouts in Deep Ellum to securing high-rise condos downtown, the company has grown to become one of Dallas's most trusted locksmith services. What started as one van has expanded to a fleet of five fully-equipped service vehicles and a team of certified technicians.
