What to Do If Your Key Fob Is Lost or Stolen
A lost key fob is more than an inconvenience — it's a security issue. Unlike a physical key, a smart fob can start your vehicle without touching the ignition. Here's what to do:
Step 1: Try to locate the fob first. Check your other bags, coat pockets, and anywhere you've been recently. Most fobs have a range of 30–60 feet, and some vehicles have a "find my key" feature in the dashboard menu.
